What is here?
Well. This is the start of a windling journey into old school blogging. The reason is that nowadays most interraction is on social media. Alot of groups within teaching and electronics are on social media. Most of them actually on Facebook.
However. Social media makes for some really poor experience, both writing and reading, when it comes to projects or anything with a history or timeline.
And needing to repeat the background, features, of a certain project in each and every post is tiresome and inefficient. Links between posts doesn't always stay in sync either.
So ... here we are ... starting a blog in 2024. Mostly then because of my own lazyness.
What will you find here?
- Alot around my passion for 8-bit computers and arcade games from the 80's. Focus will be on various accessories to Commodore VIC-20, reproduction of the said computer as well as a completely new computer build around 65C816.
- News around product development and electronics. Travel reports to various seminars and shows.
- Information regarding Altium Designer and my work with that tool for electronic desing. I have used most tools available, but for the last 15 years or so Altium Designer.
- As well as any other bits and pieces I find interresting.
Who am I?
A 57 year old electronic engineer. I have been doing electronics since 7 years of age, and professionally for 35 years or so. I started my career at Ericsson Mobile Communications in Lund, Sweden. We where, at the time, on the forefront doing mobile phones. In fierce competition with NOKIA.
Nowadays I work as a consultant for electronics.
Contact?
I have no details here since it will probably be another source for bots to gather my information. But rest assure. If you want to reach me I am easy to find. I am the only person with the name Thomas Lövskog. The rest should be trivial.
I also hang around on quite a few of the Facebook retro groups.
